Tizuka Yamazaki

Tizuka Yamasaki is graduated in Cinema by UFF – Universidade Federal Fluminense, and she is also a producer and director of the company Scena Movies / RJ.

Tizuka directs cinema, commercial, opera and drama for TV. On TV Manchete she directed the novel Japan Kananga, on TV Globo, she directed the miniseries “O Pagador de Promessas”, “A Madona de Cedro”, and 8 episodes of the TV show “As Brasileiras”. For the big screen, Tizuka directed 12 feature films, including “Parahyba Mulher Macho”, “Patriamada”, “Aparecida – O Milagre”, and children’s films – “O Noviço Rebelde”, “Lua de Cristal” among others. Her film, “Gaijin Ama-Me Como Sou”, was awarded with four Kikitos at the Gramado International Film Festival in 2005.

Her first fiction feature “Gaijin – Caminhos da Liberdade”, was awarded with five Kikitos and pointed as the best film at the Gramado International Film Festival, and also awarded in numerous other national and international competitions, among them the special FISPRESCI Award – International Federation of Film Critics Prize-80, Grand Coral Fiction Festival of Havana-80.

In 2014, Yamazaki launched her most recent feature fiction Enchanted, and the average length Tomie – record of the meeting between the artist Tomie Ohtake and the filmmaker.

Synopsis: When taken against her will to an isolated and mysterious Island, young Zeneida loses control of her mind and emotions. Suffocated by her family and reality, the frenzied girl has no choice but to surrender to her fantasies and run away with enigmatic Antonio.

All they wanted was to consume their passion hidden in the deep forest, also home of mystical beings who awaited Zeneida to present her with her distant past and to impose her shamanic fate.
